Roller shades are the most basic and traditional window coverings. Fabric hangs flat in the window and rolls up on to a roller at top of window. There are hundreds of fabrics, textures, patterns, and colors from which to choose, ranging from sheer to room darkening. We can also take your own fabric and turn it into roller shades. There are all sorts of options for finishing touches on your roller shades. The top can be as simple as a plain roller, you can add a fabric valance, or the shade can roll into a fabric covered cassette or square metal fascia. The bottom of the shade can be a straight hem bar or it can be scalloped with decorative trim.
Roman shades, which softly fold up as they are raised, are a more stylish alternative to roller shades. They also are available in a wide range of materials including woven woods, grass weaves, and fabrics, many of which overlap with roller shade fabrics. We can also take your own fabric and turn it into Roman shades. There are many different styles of Roman shades. Some terms you might hear include Flat, Hobbled, Knife Pleat, Batten Back, Batten Front, Relaxed, and more. These terms all refer to how the shade looks when it is lowered.
There are options for room darkening or light filtering liners, as well as different finishes for the bottom and side edges. Some are also available with Top Down/Bottom Up.
